Flute/Piccolo

I began playing the flute in the fourth grade, continuing through high school before packing it away to pursue a career in chemical engineering. Decades later, when my youngest daughter became interested in playing, I dusted it off and began teaching her. Throughout, I realized that I missed playing myself and slowly began doing so.

My husband and I moved to Maine from Pennsylvania in 2016 and I joined the Bath Municipal Band.  There I met other wonderful flute players and was invited to participate in forming a flute choir.  As my confidence as a player increased, and my musical relationships grew, I was offered more opportunities to perform. It has been my privilege to have performed with the Midcoast Symphony and I look forward to every opportunity to do so. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of performing with the Bowdoin College Concert Band, Casco Bay Wind Symphony, Augusta Symphony, several pit orchestras, and various small flute ensembles.

When I am not playing music, I enjoy knitting and gardening.
