To end its 2023-24 classical season, the Midcoast Symphony offers 2 performances of much-loved music taking the audience in a journey from the depths of melancholy to the heights of ecstasy.
The program opens with maestro Rohan Smith leading the orchestra in "Quiet City" by Aaron Copland, featuring soloists Billie Jo Brito on English horn and Tim Kenan on trumpet. It follows with "La Mer" by Claude Debussy, and concludes with Ludwig van Beethoven's joyous Symphony No. 7.
